Check your odds

Pick your family's situation for a traffic-light read on each phase, based on the 2025 result. It's a guide from what actually happened that year, not a prediction — MOE is trimming intake at many schools from 2026 and new estates can shift demand, so always confirm on the official page.

Phase 2A (alumni / staff)Good chance

Your group (Singapore Citizen, within 1km) had higher priority than the balloted group, so you would have been offered a place before any ballot.

Phase 2B (volunteer / community)Good chance

No balloting was conducted in this phase — every applicant was offered a place.

Phase 2C (open to all)Balloting required

Your group was balloted: 44 places for 47 applicants (about 94% were successful).

Showing your selected group: Singapore Citizen, within 1km. Most families without a prior link to the school register in Phase 2C.

What do the colours mean?
  • Good chance. Last year your group got a place with no lucky draw (no ballot). If this year is similar, you would very likely get in.
  • Balloting required. There were more children than places, so a computer did a fair lucky draw (a "ballot"). The percentage shows how many got a place.
  • Slim chance. There was a lucky draw and most children missed out — fewer than 1 in 3 got a place.
  • No realistic chance. The places ran out before reaching your group, so a family like yours did not get in at this phase last year.
  • Phase not held / pick your group. Either this phase was not used, or you have not chosen your citizenship and distance yet.

A "ballot" is a fair, random computer draw MOE runs only when a school has more children than places. It is the same chance for everyone in your group.

Your routes into this school

If any of these apply to your family, you register in an earlier phase than the open Phase 2C. None guarantees a place — and every child gets one — but each improves your odds at a specific school. How to plan ahead →

  • Phase 2A — alumni: If a parent or sibling is a former student — or a parent joins this school’s alumni association (typically ~1–2 years before 30 June of the registration year) — your child can register in Phase 2A.
  • Phase 2B — volunteer: Become a parent volunteer (join by 1 July the year before, 40+ hours of service). Volunteer guide →

The alumni and volunteer routes apply at most schools; church/clan and secondary-affiliation routes only where shown. Confirm on the school’s site and the MOE School Finder.
